Part 3

　Just as it was about to hit, Kuudanis evaded it.
　As if chasing after him, arrows of light came falling one after another, penetrating the ground. Kuudanis retreated several steps back.
「Guh……kuh……!?」
　A different Magimatic Sol descended from the sky.
　It was different from Argenos, being a deep red color, and even had different details in its form, but it seemed to be the same type of Magimatic Sol.
　The little girl inside raised her voice.
『Aira-samaaaaa~!! Ahh!? There’s a hole in Argenos’s hatch!? Aira-sama! Aira-sama!』
『I’m fine, Eleena……』
『Haaaaaaaa……Thank goodness.』
　There was yet another one.
　It had a white colored frame.
『Corps Leader! Sorry we’re late!』
『So you came, Rikka.』
『Yes. Thank goodness we made it in time～.』
　Eleena hounded Rikka who breathed a sigh.
『You idiot! We didn’t make it in time at all. Thanks to your crappy piloting, Aira-sama’s body was nearly damaged!』
『Uuu……I’m sorry.』
　Aira made a wry smile.
『Well……Headquarters’ strategy was unreasonable. I’m amazed that you two were able to rush over this quickly. This is a bit sudden, but could you lend me a hand?』
『Ah, um, since Argenos seems damaged, please leave the rest to us.』
『I would like to do that, but this enemy isn’t an opponent we can afford to save our energy on. He has several techniques that are able to penetrate the Magimatic Sol’s barriers.』
　Hearing those words, Eleena and Rikka raised surprised voices.
『Ehh!? With a primitive weapon like that!?』
『Fue～……So there are techniques we’ve never seen before after crossing the sea, huh.』
『Rikka, we’ll attack from the left and right. Eleena, you cover us with your Sorcery Bow.』
『『Understood!!』』
　Argenos, whose movements hadn’t degraded yet, readied its single edge sword.
　The white Magimatic Sol that held a large shield closed the distance after going around.
　As he had to distribute his sight to both sides, bullets of light came flying at his feet.
　Kuudanis resolved himself.
　──This is, where, I die.
　However, as if he could just die so simply.
　He threw his golden halberd at the white Magimatic Sol. It was a single attack that could be said to be a trump card.
「Break into pieces, you damned monster!」
『Uwawah!?』
　Rikka received it with the giant shield.
　It wasn’t pierced through.
　The barrier was broken through, but the giant shield caught and stopped even Kuudanis’s strongest attack. Most likely, an attack that would be able to break it didn’t exist in the Lifelia Kingdom.
　Argenos’s single edged sword approached from behind Kuudanis, who had become empty-handed.
『Prepare yourself!』
「Hmph……To win a war, you need to bring down the leader, right?」
　Kuudanis caught the blade with his left arm.
　Just like he had done with his halberd, he warded off the attack──but, his arm wasn’t as sturdy as the halberd. His flesh was torn, and his bones broke.
　Even so, flames dwelled in his right fist.
　A 《Kaenrasensou (Fire Circle Helix Spear)》 that turned his entire body into a spear──
　The target, Argenos’s breastplate that already had a hole opened in it.
「I’ve got you!」
　Eleena raised a scream.
『Aira-samaaー!?』
　At the same time, Argenos’s breastplate opened up.
　In Aira’s hand that appeared from within it, she gripped a single edged sword.

「Allow me to withdraw my words for criticizing you as “powerless”. You were undoubtedly a formidable enemy.」

　She swung her sword.
　Kuudanis’s body was bisected.
　His fist had reached Argenos, but Aira, having unleashed her slash, was already separated from it.
　Kuudanis’s life came to an end by the sword of the little girl who he had belittled as having “thin arms”.
　And then, Aira had lost her beloved machine to the resistance that she had deemed “meaningless”.

　Sheathing her sword into its scabbard, Aira switched her gaze over to the fortress city. Having lost its commander who was their hero, it seemed to be in unrest.
　If they were going to attack, this would be a good opportunity but……
「Eleena, Rikka, are you alright?」
『Of course -desu wa.』
『At most, there was a bit of a scratch on my shield.』
「To think that a Magimatic Sol would be lost in the first battle……Of all the things for me to do, was I too hasty for achievements? We will wait to meet up with Migurta and the others. Well, the war situation might change before that though.」
　Just as Aira predicted, before long, from the fortress of the Lifelia Kingdom──from Kenstone, a white flag was raised.
